Acharya Vinay was born into a Brahmin family where yoga was a household virtue and his grandfather passed his legacy to his father in form of traditional values of yoga, astrology and dharma. He started studying the scriptures on Veda, Upanishads and Yoga under his father at the early age of 12. It is still a tradition in India, that such disciplines are passed on from generation to generation. The seeds were sown very early, but as like every seed, it took time to ripe out. It got ripe with the initiation by his Guru Yogi Rudranath of Himalayas and acharya was inclined towards a spiritual outlook of life.
I participated in the teacher training as well as the internship afterwards. I learned so much from the lectures as well as in class. Information was presented in an open conversational style. Classes were challenging, but noncompetitive. This is an excellent and affordable place to learn more about yoga and prepare to teach.
I stayed a jeevmoksha yoga gurukul for a month doing the 200h TTC and i couldnt have asked for a better experience! The teachers were all so great and Acharya was truly inspirational in his way of being and teaching. I can recommend Jeevmoksha to anyone who is looking to learn yoga, not just as a way of exercising but as a way of living and thinking.
