About School

Founded in the year 2014, Anadi Yoga school is located at Tapovan. The school is run by yogi Narendra Gusain and his team of yoga instructors. Narendra has an extensive experience of teaching yoga.

The school runs Yoga teacher training program throughout the year. On an average there are 6-8 students in every batch.


The school is located right at the center of the Laxman Jhula market area and who want to explore the area can take a tour around on foot. If you are looking to practice yoga near the Laxman Jhula area, the school may be the right choice.

Main Tapovan-Badrinath highway can be reached on foot from the school.

Please ensure that you have read the directions carefully. If you book through us, we will drop you at the school. If you are approaching the school otherwise, please arrive at Laxman Jhula bridge Rishikesh and call Narendra or Ashu (Manager) to guide you for further directions.


There are total 12 standard rooms available at the school. All the rooms currently offered by the school are Non- AC rooms. Due to absence of outside accommodation arrangement, the number of students is currently capped at 12 per batch . The rooms are located on the ground and first floor of the school. The rooms have queen sized beds and attached bathroom. For hot water availability, all the rooms have electric geysers installed.

Rooms are available on single occupancy basis. Students who wish to share common room can do so. 

Yoga Hall

The school has two yoga halls. One yoga hall is on the ground floor, near the entrance and the second yoga hall is located on the top floor. The yoga hall is non A.C. and can accommodate maximum 15-20 practicing students at a time.

Dining hall

The dining hall is located at the terrace and 18-20 students can dine at the same time. There is no A.C. in the dining hall.


Everyday food menu is fixed by the management. The school has listed the varieties available and meals are prepared according to the list. Please click on the link at the bottom of the page to check out the food served every day.

Class size

Currently the class size is small and usually there are around 6-8 students in a batch. However please note that the number of students in a batch can be increased. Please confirm from the school about the batch size.

Payment and cancellation

You can reserve your seat after paying the advance booking amount. The advance payment is refundable if the cancellation is done before one week of the course start date. There are no refunds if the cancellation is done in the preceding week of course start date. However, the payment can be adjusted towards any future course.

Please note that the fees is inclusive of three meals daily and accommodation from one day prior to the course start date and till the date of completion of course. If you are planning to come well in advance or stay after the completion of the course, you should inform the school. The school charges extra stay and extra meals.

You have to pay the remaining amount directly at the school. The school accepts fees in cash/ credit card at the school. All major currencies are accepted at the school. The students have to bear the transaction charges separately.

Course Details
About the course:

Five hundred Hours Yoga teacher training program is designed for students who wish to stay and learn for 63 days/ 9 weeks at the institute. After the completion of the course, a 500 hours certificate, recognized by the yoga alliance U.S.A, is awarded to the students. The course comprises of: Hatha Yoga, Yoga Philosophy, Kriyas, Pranayama, Bandhas, Meditation,  Mantra Chanting, and Anatomy. However, the major focus of the course is on traditional Hatha and Ashtanga Yoga practice. Yoga philosophy and anatomy is covered from basic to advance level.

The course encourages students to follow traditional yogic style and therefore there is a special focus on following the yogic traditions in the school. As a part of the course, the students are expected to give assignments on time, sleep early and put efforts in the direction of living a yogic life. Due to small class size, the teachers are able to provide personal attention to the students.

Shree Nalin: Philosophy


Nalin Sharma was born into a traditional Brahmin family and grew up in a very spiritual environment. After completing his postgraduate degree in Electronics and Computers, he worked as a design engineer in elite organizations in the USA, such as Microsoft. He took early retirement from his professional life and settled in Rishikesh, India. Here in Rishikesh, he has studied all of the Indian spiritual scriptures related to Vedanta and Tantra under the guidance of several great Gurus. He has also written books on Vedanta and spirituality. After ten years of extensive Sadhana, he now provides guidance to truth seekers and teaches Vedanta and Tantra.



Narendra Gusain

E-RYT Asana, Methodology, Pranayama & Mantras

Narendra, co-founder of Anadi Yoga Centre, is a 500 hour E-RYT with Yoga Alliance, was born and raised in Rishikesh. Narendra knew his destiny in life was to devote himself to the practice of Yoga, meditation and spirituality from the young age of sixteen. He has since shared his knowledge in India, Europe, North America and throughout Asia with many people around the world. Narendra attained his Masters degree in Yoga Science from Sanskrit Vishvidyalaya University in Haridwar, India as well as his Doctorate in Naturopathy/Natural Medicine from the Indian Board of Alternative Medicines. Narendra further advanced his studies by developing his knowledge of Ashtanga Yoga in it’s birthplace of Mysore, India where he lived and trained with some of the worlds best Ashtanga Masters as well as completing and attaining his International Marma Science and Therapy Certification and Reiki Master Certification to advance his healing practices. Narendra trained in Vedic Astrology under Swami Maheshananda. He also studied Ayurveda and Energy healing under his Guru Sri Swami Narayana Dutt Nagar jii and is an initiate of the Udaseen lineage. Narendra is passionate about Vedanta philosophy (India’s ancient Hindu philosophy) and Tantra Meditation which led him to a five month long study under the great Swami Nalin Sharma. Narendra is very respected by all who meet him and is well known for his teachings, his passion for what he does and his love of sharing his knowledge with others. He is loved by his students for his dynamic teaching style and precise adjustments that add new dimensions to their asana practice. He takes all of the disciplines he has studied and uses whatever method he believes will best reach his students to help them on their path. Narendra is a true believer in the power of yogic practice and meditation but always likes to remind his students that “The power is not in Yoga itself, the true power is already within you. Yoga is just the key to unlocking this treasure.”


Jeet Gusain

RYT 500 Asana & Methodology Teacher

Jeet, co-founder of Anadi Yoga Centre, was born in Rishikesh. He has been practicing yoga from a very young age. Chanting, creating offerings and connecting with the spirits and nature has been a part of his daily life since childhood. He was introduced to yoga and inspired to begin his yoga teaching path, by his brother, Narendra. He completed a 500 hour teacher training course with Rishikesh Yog Peeth and became certified with Yoga Alliance in 2013. He completed an intensive Iyengar training course with Usha Devi, as well as earning a certificate in International Marma Science and Therapy to enhance his knowledge of healing. From 2013 to 2015, Jeet was spreading his knowledge and practice of yoga in Thailand and Vietnam. He has also been a dedicated staff member of Rishikesh Yog Peeth, teaching 200, 300 & 500 hour courses. His classes take his students deeper into their practice with a focus on alignment. He believes that through the steady practice of yoga with correct alignment, we can fully understand our bodies and can live to our fullest potential. To him, yoga is the relationship that is built between the body, mind and breath. He hopes to help others develop body awareness and a balance between flexibility and strength, as well as a connection with their most honest self through consistent practice.

Arvind Gusain

RYT 500 Asana Teacher

Arvind Gusain, co-founder of Anadi Yoga Centre, was born in Rishikesh, India. He started practicing yoga at the age of twenty one. Arvind received a Masters Degree in Yoga Science from Sanskrit Gurukul Vishvidyalaya, in Haridwar, India. He has completed 500 hours of teacher training, studied with various great Indian teachers and attended an intensive Ashtanga Vinyasa course with Mathew Sweeney, prestigious teacher from Mysore, India. In addition to his time spent teaching in Rishikesh, he has also spread his love and knowledge of yoga in Thailand! He enjoys practicing and teaching Ashtanga Vinyasa, focusing on correct alignment of the body and the mind. He believes that everybody has the knowledge inside of them and with correct guidance, everyone can achieve their potential, ‘We can all accomplish anything we set our minds to, making improvements and progress everyday through consistent practice.’ Arvind strongly believes yoga is 100% practice. From his own experience, he feels yoga can change a person’s life.


Anatomy & Physiology

Yogesh, 500 RYT is our Yoga Anatomy & Physiology Teacher. He is a Rishikesh local who has been teaching for three years and practicing yoga for five years. He received 500 hours of yoga teacher training from Rishikesh Vinyasa. He later went on to receive his Masters Degree in Yoga Science from Pandit Lalit Mohan Sharma in 2015. Yogesh has always been intrigued by how the body works during asana and pranayama and enjoys sharing his knowledge with others.


RYT 500 Guest Faculty

Piyu started her journey into discovering yoga in 2013 while living in Delhi. In 2015, she spent time practicing under Gina Minyard in Atlanta, Georgia, USA where she started pursuing her practice more seriously. She later went on to complete her RYT 500 certification in 2016 while in Rishikesh, India.

Piyu weaves in yoga philosophy and knowledge of ancient Indian sciences in her classes and offers refreshingly creative storytelling with intelligent sequencing and carefully crafted adjustments. She often combines chanting, asana, pranayama and meditation in her classes and teaches teacher trainees to create unique and valuable experiences for their students.

Hatha Yoga

Hatha Yoga teaches the practice of different asanas. It is the branch of Indian philosophy that directs not only towards building a sound body and mind but also towards achieving inner peace and happiness. Asanas or postures in Hatha Yoga strengthen different parts of body and develop the balance of the body.

Ashtanga Yoga

Ashtanga Yoga, the yoga of Eight Limbs was given by Yoga Maharshi Patanjali. In his philosophy, the eight spiritual practices can lead a person towards self-realization and ultimate happiness.
The eight limbs are: Yama (Moral Codes), Niyama (Self-Purification), Asana (Posture), Pranayama (Breath Control), Pratyahara (Sense Control), Dharana (Concentration), Dhyana (Meditative Absorption) and Samadhi (Absorption into Universe).

I attended the 200 hour teacher training course in March 2017. I was very happy with the variety of subjects we covered and also the depth of what I learned in the course. I felt fully supported by the teachers and staff at Anadi, they are accessible, always open to have discussions and they encourage questions and self inquiry. You can really feel that they love teaching and they care about both the students and their subjects, they will help you push yourself farther than you think you can go. They have so much knowledge to share and they have a sense of humour too, making for an amazing experience and fostering great connection between everyone present. My expectations were blown away by Anadi, I am so happy with the course and grateful for the experience. The teachers gave me confidence to use the knowledge I acquired there and the curiosity and information necessary to pursue further learning independently too. I attended Anadi yoga centre March/April 2017 and had a fantastic experience. The asana teachers challenged me to improve my technique, strength and flexibility. They were excellent at explaining the correct alignment of postures and how to adjust others safely. The philosophy teacher was very passionate and and made learning interesting. Overall a great experience!
