About School

Rishikesh YTTC School is one of the comparatively newer school and was started by Yogi Sanjeev. Sanjeev has immense experience in teaching Yoga and has taught to many students from all over the world. The yoga styles followed in the school are: Ashtanga and Hatha Yoga. The school is registered with Yoga Alliance USA. It offers great opportunity for those, who would like to deepen practice, reach new levels safely and explore the path of Yoga.


The school currently operates from Nishant Garden Resort in Gulab Nagar, Laxman Jhula. The Laxman Jhula bridge and Tapovan highway is 10 minutes walk from the school. Since the school is away from the market area, the surroundings are green and less crowded. If you wish to practice yoga away from the hustle bustle of the town and don’t mind taking a small walk to reach the market area, this school may be the right fit for you. Please ensure that you have read the directions carefully. If you book through us, we will drop you at the school. If you are approaching the school otherwise, please arrive at Syndicate Bank Tapovan and call Sanjeev to guide you for further directions.


There are total 28 rooms available at the school. All the rooms currently offered are non AC rooms. The school makes separate accommodation arrangement if the number of students exceeds the rooms available at the school. The rooms are located on the first and second, third and fourth floor of the school. Each room has queen sized bed and attached bathroom.

Please note that students are allowed to stay in the school only 1 day prior to the course start date. If you are arriving at the school earlier, please notify the school in advance. Extra stay and extra meals are chargeable. The same is also applicable for students who wish to stay after the end of course.

The rooms are on the first, second and third floor. Each room is equipped with a queen sized bed and hot water facility. A separate table and chair is provided in each room for those who want to study.

Yoga Hall

Located on the fourth floor, the yoga hall is non A.C. and can accommodate maximum 15 practicing students at a time.

Dining hall

The dining hall is located at the second floor and maximum 20 students can dine at the same time. There is no A.C. in the dining hall, but there is sufficient ventilation in the room.


The students can do their own laundry. There is also an option for students who want to avail paid laundry service. Open terrace can be used for drying clothes.


Students can buy packaged water and toilet paper from the reception. The school provide welcome kit on arrival for the students.


Everyday food menu is fixed by the management. The school has listed the varieties available and meals are prepared according to the list.The food prepared is Satvic  and vegetarian. The course fees include three meals and two teas everyday. Apart from the inclusion mentioned, any other meal ordered separately is charged by the school. Class size

The class size is small and usually there are around 7-12 students in a batch.

Payment and cancellation

You can confirm your seat after making an advance payment of USD 100. The rest of the fees is payable directly at the school. The school accepts fees in cash/ credit card at the school. All major currencies are accepted at the school.

The advance payment is refundable if the cancellation is done before one week of the course start date. There are no refunds if the cancellation is done in the preceding week of course start date. 

  • Smoking, any kind of drugs and alcohol are strictly prohibited.
  • If you are planning to go out for lunch or dinner please inform kitchen manager to avoid food waste.
  • Always follow all the rules & regulation, respect the teachers & other students in school.
  • Attend all the classes & always create peaceful environment in the class & school.
  • Please return the school items back before your departure.
  • Please submit the identity proof of any accompanying guest at the reception before allowing him/her in your room or in the school premises.

About the course:

200 Hours Yoga Teacher Training program is a 28 days residential program. The course consists of theory and practice sessions of: Hatha Yoga, Ashtanaga, Vinyasa yoga flow and meditation techniques. The syllabus is divided such that students get the basic idea and practical application of these yoga styles. Apart from the yoga styles mentioned, the course also includes subjects such as Humana anatomy and physiology, Mantra chanting, asana-pranayama etc. For a detailed subject overview please click on the course overview link at the bottom.

Course duration:

The course starts on 2nd of every month. The course runs for 28 days/ 4 weeks.  Please click on the book course tab to select your date for the course.

The classes start at 5:30 A.M. Daily class schedule is fixed and same classes are followed every day till completion of the course. There will be no classes after lunch on Thursdays.

Yogi Kushal Bisht Ji

Anatomy Teacher Masters In Yogic Sciences & RYT200

Kushal is a highly experienced Yoga Anatomy & Physiology teacher. He has been teaching for a couple of years incorporating Yoga with Anatomy and Physiology. He has a beautiful style of merging spiritual science with modern science.  He is also RYT 200 from U.S. Yoga Alliance. He has also Masters in Philosophy from Sri dev Suman University, Tehri Garhwal..


Yogini Shobha


Yogini Shobha is a resident yoga instructor at Rishikesh Yoga Teacher Training Center who was born in Brahmin family; Yogini started doing yoga when she was 10 years old. She loves to focus on traditional approach of yoga and aims to make this practice available to everyone & she mixes different styles and structures classes as per the specific requirement of the students.

Yogini Shobha is educated in Yoga, Sanskrit, Anatomy and Physiology and holds a Masters degree in yoga.

Yogi Mahesh Bhatt Ji

Yoga Philosophy & Ayurveda

P.G . Diploma & Masters In Yogic Sciences(Gold Medalist) Yogi Mahesh Bhatt is an experienced yoga philosophy teacher who has a different and effective style of delivering his knowledge to others. During his studies, he was two times gold medalist in P.G. Diploma (yogic science) and in Masters in yogic science as well. He has been teaching in schools, colleges and also workshops. 

Yogi Devendra Ji
Hatha Yoga

Masters In Yogic Sciences, Devendra is a multi-style yoga trainer who has a great approach towards his teachings. He has a strong base in Hatha Yoga as he is a trained Hatha Yoga teacher. Professionally he has certificate and diploma courses in Yogic Sciences and now he also completed his Masters in Yogic Sciences. Apart from being a trained Hatha Yoga teacher, he is also a teacher of Ashtanga-Vinyasa flow.

Hatha Yoga

Hatha Yoga teaches the practice of different asanas. It is the branch of Indian philosophy that directs not only towards building a sound body and mind but also towards achieving inner peace and happiness. Asanas or postures in Hatha Yoga strengthen different parts of body and develop the balance of the body.

Ashtanga Yoga

Ashtanga Yoga, the yoga of Eight Limbs was given by Yoga Maharshi Patanjali. In his philosophy, the eight spiritual practices can lead a person towards self-realization and ultimate happiness.
The eight limbs are: Yama (Moral Codes), Niyama (Self-Purification), Asana (Posture), Pranayama (Breath Control), Pratyahara (Sense Control), Dharana (Concentration), Dhyana (Meditative Absorption) and Samadhi (Absorption into Universe).

Vinyasa Yoga

Vinyasa denotes a flowing, dynamic form of yoga, connected to breath or pranayama in which yoga and mudra transitions are embodied as linkages within and between asana.Vinyasa is also employed as a noun to describe the sequence of poses that are performed between Adho Mukha Svanasanas or Downward Facing Dog as part of a Surya Namaskara or Sun Salutation sequence.
