I did not stay here, as I already had a room nearby. I had a 2 week Ayurvedic package which included daily massage, daily warm oil poured on forehead, other assorted treatments, all food and medications; all administered by Rajendra. He was wonderful!! Also included was daily yoga class and Kirtan, led by Shailendra. What a wonderful family and location!!

My time in India was meant to be a time of self study, so I needed somewhere quiet to have my own practice. Vedic Yoga center was that place. It was just a few minutes to all the main restaurants and classes of Lakshman Jhula, but in the opposite direction so less crowded and noisy. I could even go for walks in the morning and not hear a single car horn, an amazing thing to find in india, and have beautiful views of the Ganges.

If you need a quiet place to stay in Rishikesh with access to a kitchen, I highly recommend Vedic. The rooms are beautiful, huge beds, and reasonably priced. My private room and shower was the same price as the dorm in the main hostel on Lakshman Jhula. Don’t go to hostels when you can have so much more, plus privacy, for the same price. I had a wonderful experience staying at Vedic for 2 months. Yoga classes, massages, and ayurvedic treatments also happen. And their yoga classes are one of the few in Rishikesh that incorporate kundalini work and kriyas.

There are fruit and vegetable stands just a few steps away and the kitchen was stocked with pots, a kettle, bowls, plates and everything you would need to cook. Plus they give all of your veggie scraps to the cow and I love that nothing got wasted. Permaculture!

Wonderful experience and lovely family that runs this place! (and free wi-fi!)

vedic yoga centre is unique place in Rishikesh peace full and full of divine energy in the bank of mother Ganga if you decide to go there you need to know what for. If you´re looking for a complete cleansing, both physical and mental or spiritual, this is your place. It is not a hotel it is a treatment retreat, don´t ask for luxuries, be ready to admit the simple cline peaceful conditions of the rooms, be humble and enjoy the real Ayurvedic therapy . Physically treatments like vomiting or purgation may be hard, mentally it can also become tough. But if you surrender you will feel in Paradise. Don´t forget you´ll get fantastic treatment every day! But the jewel of this place is their people yoga teachers and , senior yoga teacher to massage therapists, cleaners, the cow shepherd . They will all have a sincere smile to you whenever you re low and will be ready to share your happiness too. People in the centre are lovely, in reception too. Everybody transmits peace and joy. And you´ll be able to meet interesting people to share the experiences of your stay if you want to. There is magic in this place, something called authenticity. In my case I went to try to regain the control over my body and to calm my mind. 3 months later I still don´t smoke (and I was a really heavy smoker), I keep on feeling happy without alcohol (unthinkable for me in friends meetings), I´m still on a vegetarian diet ( I am Ukrainian ) and, more important, I don´t miss at all my old habits and I still smile to myself, even when things get tough. Dear shailender negi rajender negi and all therapists i also recommend yoga , Samyak kriya , meditation courses really help and teaching of Himalayan yogis taught by shailender negi i love you all I waited all this time before writing, because I wanted to make sure this would last, maybe I wast´t trusting myself enough. Thank you

The rooms are very nice, clean and spacious. Though we came here because of the good reviews on tripadvisor saying this is a family- run and friendly place,we didnt experience this. We were just shown to ourroom and told the price like any hotel. The buildings are a bit rundown already and not very well maintained. We couldnt find any outdoor areas to sit and relax.
